Development Squad Training 17 March

Another brilliant session with Ellie putting the girls through the different disciplines. 

Accuracy, landing zones, putting techniques, chipping, track man etc.

Fantastic effort and great improvement by all the girls really well done..

Junior Girls Training Saturday 17 February

7 girls attended the session, which focused on distance control for pitching and chipping.
Trackman was used to identify weaker areas so that the girls are able to use practice time more effectively.

Junior Girls Training Sunday 14 January 

Huge thanks to everyone who braved the cold weather to attend Sunday’s session at PGH with Ellie.  It was a great opportunity for the nine girls to get together and work through the drills.

The importance of a warm-up routine both for body and swing was covered and how 'stretching' our bodies the opposite way can improve our swing speed and therefore have an impact on our distances.. it was so funny to watch the players attempt a reverse swing!  Time was taken also to review 'putting' and to introduce drills which can be practised at home.  Building on the knowledge gained from the first session.

Saturday 10 Dec Penrith Golf Hub

Launch of Development Squad. At the central location, looking at both the skills of our players and giving opportunities to create relationships with other like-minded individuals in the County.

Our extremely important Rookies programme will continue in 2024, with information to follow.

We had 8 girls attend from Silloth, Penrith, Eden, Ulverston, Barrow, Brampton, and Carus Green.
